Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using ScreenAssist (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service on your own. If you are between 13 and 16, you may use the Service only with the verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian. The Service is not intended for children under 13.

3. Your account

You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at legal@screenassist.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the games, plays, clips, photos, and other content you upload (“Your Content”). By uploading Your Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, transcode, and display it solely as necessary to operate the Service for you and any people you share it with. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except as needed to complete in-flight operations and to satisfy legal obligations.

5. Footage of other people

You represent and warrant that, for any footage or photo you upload:

  • You have the rights necessary to upload it (recording, image, and any music synced into highlight reels).
  • You have obtained the consent required by applicable law from any identifiable individuals visible in the footage, and from a parent or legal guardian for any minor.
  • You will respond promptly to reasonable removal requests routed through us.

You agree to indemnify ScreenAssist for claims arising from your breach of this section.

6. Acceptable use

You will not:

  • Upload content you do not have the rights to upload.
  • Upload content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or that depicts minors in a sexualized way.
  • Use the Service to harass, dox, or stalk anyone.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape at scale, or interfere with the Service.
  • Bypass authentication, rate limits, or other security mechanisms.
  • Use the Service to infringe copyright, including by syncing copyrighted music with footage you do not have a license for.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

7. Public sharing

When you make a profile public or share a link, the contents of that profile become accessible to anyone with the link. You are responsible for what you choose to make public. You can revoke public access at any time from Settings.

8. Music in highlights

The Service may offer optional music tracks for highlight reels. We license those tracks for use within the Service only; you may not extract them for use elsewhere. You are responsible for any music you supply yourself.

9. Copyright and takedowns

If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to legal@screenassist.app with: a description of the work, the URL of the infringing material, your contact details, a statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorized, and your signature (electronic is fine). We will act on valid notices and may remove the content.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continuing to provide the Service to you would expose us or others to material risk. On termination, the rights granted to you in these Terms end and we will delete Your Content as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will not be lost.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScreenAssist will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars (USD 100).

13. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify ScreenAssist and its operators against claims, damages, and costs arising out of (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) Your Content, or (c) your violation of any third-party rights.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced by email or in-product notice. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The competent courts of Tel Aviv–Yafo will have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence still apply.
